Professor of Economics and Research Division Leader at the University of Reading, where he also serves as Impact Lead in the Department of Economics. His research focuses on applied econometrics, particularly in the context of sports, using robust and long-term data to examine labor markets, market efficiency, discrimination, and decision-making under pressure. He supervises postgraduate students and teaches courses of Sports Economics. He is affiliated with the Programme for Economic Modelling (EMoD) at the Oxford Martin School and the Research Program in Forecasting at George Washington University.
